Passing the Kingfish torch to Annarose!

Swim team welcomes former swimmer as new assistant coach

The 2017 Kingfish swim season started off with a splash in June with the exciting return of beloved Head Coach, Tim Brockway, and the welcoming of former Kingfish swimmer and new Assistant Head Coach, Annarose Kennedy.  The Kingfish families are delighted by the addition of Annarose on the coaching staff although it was hard to say goodbye to former assistant head coach, Andrew Mann.

Annarose spent nine summers as a Kentlands Kingfish, where she learned the importance of community, positivity and hard work. She envisions this position as an important way to give back to her community; coaching children to improve, thrive and learn how to be positive influencers within the Team.

Annarose not only brings a solid knowledgeable foundation of swimming, she also acts as an incredible role model for the entire Team.  As a current Dean’s List achiever at St. Mary’s College of Maryland, Annarose enjoys the soccer and dance clubs on campus while singing in the Nightingale Acapella troop.

The on-going tradition of passing the torch shines bright.  Look for Annarose on the pool deck every weekday morning and afternoon  – she’s the one surrounded by loving swimmers.
