Parking in the Kentlands
Long term and overnight parking in the mews is not permitted except for loading and unloading. See Administrative Resolution #3

Streets in the Kentlands (other than the mews) are the responsibility of the City of Gaithersburg. Per the City of Gaithersburg's Municipal Code, passenger vehicles may be parked in the same location on city streets for only 48 hours. Parking commercial vehicles (definition of commercial vehicles) for more than 30 minutes is not allowed. To report possible violations contact the City of Gaithersburg at 301-258-6400.

Before You Start Exterior Work on Your Home...
If you are thinking of making an exterior visual change, or have a question or doubt about whether or not a change requires approval, it is best to submit a Visual Change Application (VCA) to the Kentlands Historical Trust (KHT) for approval. Visual Change Applications are reviewed on a monthly basis by the KHT. Documents regarding suitable materials, application requirements and the application itself can be found on the Kentlands website in the Document Library.

Electronic Facilities Pass
If you are new to the Kentlands, please stop by the Clubhouse during business hours (M-F, 9:00 am-4:45 pm) to acquire your new electronic facilities pass. You will need to provide a copy of your lease if you are a current tenant or a copy of your settlement sheet if you are a new homeowner. It is best to have all household members arrive at one time as pictures are taken of each member requiring an electronic pass.

If your facilities pass is lost or stolen, stop by the Clubhouse to acquire a new pass during business hours. The cost to replace your pass(es) if lost, stolen or damaged is $30 in the form of exact cash or check made payable to: Kentlands Citizens Assembly.

These new permanent electronic facilities passes are valuable and do not require renewing on an annual basis.

Gaithersburg Alert System
Subscribe to the City of Gaithersburg emergency notification to receive emergency alerts such as e-mails and/or text messages.

Neighborhood Watch
Kentlands Neighborhood Watch Listserv is a volunteer organization with the purpose of informing members of the community about public safety issues. Given the recently expressed interest in keeping our community safe by many Kentlands residents, we are in the process of developing an agenda for a more active neighborhood watch to complement the existing Listserv.

Animal Control
If you see a wandering animal or what may seem to be a sick animal (dog, cat, etc.), please contact the City of Gaithersburg Animal Control at 301-218-6343 or adminanimalcontrol@gaithersburgmd.gov from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.  For after-hours emergencies, please contact 301-271-8100.
